Ashton– Bike Mechanic
Ashton has been a dedicated bike mechanic for over four years, combining technical know-how with a lifelong love of riding. Growing up on both push bikes and motorbikes, his connection to biking runs deep. Whether it’s a basic gear tune-up or a full suspension rebuild, Ashton approaches every job with care, precision, and genuine enthusiasm.
Outside the workshop, you'll find him tackling some of the best local tracks, including Pirongia Mountain, Te Miro, and the Rotorua Redwoods. Ashton thrives on technical rides and is always up for a new challenge. For him, biking isn’t just work—it’s a way of life.
Richard – Customer Service Legend
Richard wears many hats at our shop—rental bike expert, shuttle driver, retail assistant, and our go-to guy for anything customer service. What started as a simple way to get from A to B quickly turned into a deep passion for cycling. These days, it’s all about the fun, the fresh air, and the freedom of being out in nature.
Whether he’s helping you choose the perfect rental, fixing a flat, or recommending the ideal bike fit, Richard brings knowledge, expertise, and a friendly face to every interaction. His favorite place to ride? The legendary Rotorua Redwoods, hands down.
Lofty- All Round Superstar
Lofty is our resident adrenaline junkie and all-round adventure guru. From shuttle driving to managing our rental fleet, guiding rides, and knowing everything there is to know in the shop, Lofty brings high energy and a ton of outdoor know-how to everything he does.
With a certificate in adventure tourism and a background that includes rock instruction, ski patrol, kayaking, rafting, mountain biking, and more, Lofty has turned his passion for the outdoors into a seriously cool career. His love for action sports has taken him all over the world—but we’re lucky to have him right here with us.
When Lofty isn't busy at work you'll find him at Te Miro MTB Park, his favourite place to ride!
